This course will provide the Physician, Nurse Practitioner, and/or Registered Nurse with the knowledge, skills, and judgment to provide trauma-informed, evidence-aware, competent, and skillful care to the adult or adolescent patient being evaluated for sexual assault. Elements of the course will explore the assessment, interpretation, collection, and processing of forensic health information from the patient. This course meets the required theoretical education component for preparation to apply for the SANE-A credential. This course is accredited by the International Association of Forensic Nurses ​​and meets the criteria set forth by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission of Accreditation (ANCC COA).
